The new day started early morning drive to Coogee beach to witness the beautiful sunrise at this beach. The Sun welcomed us by rising up from the sparkling water of the sea. The sight of bright yellow sunlight was good enough to fill our hearts with positivity, love , joy and peace on this Christmas Day
Sunrise at Coogee beach in Sydney
The next was to walk towards the Bondi beach. It was a stretch of about 5 – 6 kms. It includes some steep walk on stairs too. It make take around 2 to 3 hours depending upon how you want to enjoy the nature and number of halts you want to take on the way.
1. Coogee beach – The beautiful sunrise, golden carpet of sand and lush green grass.People of all ages were jogging , giving the message that no matter what your ages , you have to choose to stay fit and healthy.
Coogee beach walk
After climbing few stairs and up and downs of the roads , I could see the some bushes , tall trees and big lawns. The sounds of waves and someone playing violin sitting beside the sea shore, what else you want the nature to give it to you.
The rocks on the shores with some stills of water was giving an amazing view.
On the way to Clovelly beach walk
2. Clovelly beach –Wearing our hats and sunglasses , we reached to our next beach. The stretch of sand and the clear blue water. Now , I could see the people swimming in the bay with their kids. I bet you can’t see such a neat and well maintained beaches anywhere in the world. This beach is having a separate pool for the kids too.
The scenic beauty can’t be described in words nor with pictures. On the way to next beach is a big Waverly Cementary. It is an heritage-listedcemetery on top of the cliffs at Bronte . It is regularly cited as being one of the most beautiful cemeteries in the world. The cemetery contains the graves of many significant Australians including the poet Henry Lawson.
You will also witness few sculptures on the way by some great artist who come every year here to showcase their talents.
Sculptures by the sea – Sydney beach walk
3. Bronte Beach – The surroundings will never let you down here. Every step taken by you here will make you to explore more. put a tent or canopy and enjoy the food with full family
Bronte Beach for family day out
Just before the Bondi beach , there is tourist spot. Stand there and move your head from left to right , you will see only the shiny shimmery silver water hugging the clouds in the sky.
4. Tamarama beach – You can enjoy the surfing on the high waves , do swimming ., Play volleyball or simply bathe in the sun.
5. Bondi beach- Finally, we reached at our destination ‘ Bondi Beach ‘. Now I could find the reason why Prince Harry and Megan Markle’s visit to this beach. The beauty of this beach is undefined. All you could see is people bathing in Sun and surf boards. ( I couldn’t capture the Bondi beach that day, will update soon ).
The whole stretch from Coogee beach to Bondi is worth watching. If you are in Sydney, you can’t afford to miss it.

After a long tiring travelling , finally we reached Sydney. The moment I stepped out from the airport I witnessed clear blue skywith some fluffy white clouds floating in the sky. The tall green trees were complimenting the blue . No tall buildings or flats but small cottages on the roadsides were enough to tell the story of this city.
The fresh , pollution free air gave some relaxation to my whole body which was feeling so suffocating and deprived of fresh oxygen being in the flight mode.
After having lunch and a short nap , we decided to explore the near by market in the evening . Since the next two days market will be closed due to Christmas , so we went to collect the daily needs.
To my surprise, the moment I stepped put of the car I could smell the fresh Samosa giving me a feeling of India.
Yes , the market was having everything we get in India from fruits to vegetables and sugarcane juice too.
Caution- If you are any where in the market , stop converting the dollar to Indian rupees otherwise you will come empty hand 😉😉

Recently I have started a project and asked the people to express their opinions towards how our Education System can become better and the areas which need improvement.
After the first succesful interview , here comes another interview with a women who is well known in Indian Blogging community. She needs no introduction. Do read what she has to say.
Tell us something about yourself ( Introduce yourself )
Answer: I am Romila and I began blogging in 2004, anonymously with couple of experimenting pen names, till I zeroed in Novemberschild. Since then till today I have set up and edited many blogs, managed online communities and blogged professionally. My writing has developed from personal musings to social issues, reviews, creative writing and digital content for businesses and more. I’ve been writing since the year 1996 – prose, poetry, stories and articles. My content is globally on many platforms in form of updates, blog posts, guest notes and photographs. Professionally I help brands to promote themselves on social media and digital platforms through hosting chats/developing website content. When I’m not writing for my website or magazines or tweeting, there’s a good chance you’ll find me reading a good book, sipping coffee, listening to ghazals, colouring, watching movies or even sleeping.
These days children prefer to go abroad for higher education after 12th standard. What could be the reason for it ? Where are we lacking in terms of education?
Answer: There are a few things that comes to my mind. A) Peer pressure B) Glamour of studying abroad C) Lack of good Institutes. Though this has been improved in recent times but still a lot is required to retain the brain drain.
Unemployment is a big issue for the young generation. How can the society and education play its role in it ?
Answer: Our current education system is not meant for real job. It creates only clerical level employees. We need more into critical thinking, entrepreneurial skills. We need a system where kids can grow to their potential.
Every now and then we read about the students struggling with anxiety and depression and committing suicide. Can you suggest few measures to be taken regarding this concern ?
Answer: Anxiety, depression, suicide is mostly related to lack of career paths for the students or in better words less knowledge about the paths available in the system. We only know either Engineer or a Doctor. If a kid is not in that path then he is fit for nothing. Parents are culprits in making kids believe that there is nothing apart from these two paths.
What should be the role of parents in Education ?
Answer: They need to help kids find their own path based on their interests and not force them on the beaten paths. They need to encourage kids develop a rounded personality.
What changes you want to see in Education System in the coming years ?
Answer: A better skill based education system where rote memorisation should be of past. It should develop the entrepreneurial mindset and scientific attitude towards the problems.
What inspired you to get associated with this Project ?
Answer: With ageing population if the world India has a great potential to lead the world with skills and manpower. But to tap that opportunity we need education system which not only inculcates the hard skills but also the soft skills. I feel it is out duty to ensure that our kids are trained for the future and also grounded in their culture of Bahujan Hitay bahujan sukhay. We need major change in our education system where our next generation is not mass produced as a clerk but as a leader.
Given a chance what will be the first thing you will change and why ?
Answer: Change the education from memorising to project based education, where kids need to learn what is required to complete the given project. This will increase their interest into the given subjects and also show them the practicality of what they are studying.
Thank you Romila for interacting with us on this topic. Indeed the education must develop entrepreneurial mindset and scientific attitude to the young generation and produce the leaders for future.
There are many situations come in our life when we have to hide our emotions. Hiding the emotions sometimes is not easy. Your face tells exactly what you are going through.
Should we hide what we are feeling???
Yes , at times. You can not take your worries and problems to your work place and vice versa. Exploding your feelings at wrong place and wrong time can worsen the situation. In such case you must wait for the right moment.
Hiding the emotions is important in certain positions e.g if you are announcing the names of contestants in a competition. You can not bring a positive or negative expressions on your face.
Is hiding the emotions or feelings is difficult?
For some it is very easy. There are people who are always give a blank expression. They know how to maintain neutral face expressions. You can’t judge by their body language or face. You must have seen an employee coming out from the Boss’office appears perfectly happy or normal giving you no idea what has happened in the closed cabin. May be that person has got good scolding from the boss , yet comes out very normal. Such people are good at hiding emotions. On the other side, there are people who comes out from the office with wet eyes as they are poor at hiding emotions. They express the same through their face as they are feeling.
Hide only to get away from unwanted situation
Do express when you are full of emotions and convey your feelings. Say it now as you never know you get an other chance. Not every time you have to hide your emotions. You have to do so when you know the situation may get worse. There are times when people may take the advantage of your feelings to fulfil their motives. In such a case you must know how to hide your emotions.
PS – Whether to express or hide your emotions depends on the situation. You are the best judge of your life. Hence decide yourself what you want to do.
And yes ! Do express yourself in the comment section about this article.
Coming in the series, here is an interaction with Shivam Mishra putting up his suggestion that can refine our education system.
1: Tell us something about yourself ) e.g where are you from ? What you do ? What are your dreams and aspirations in the life ?
Ans: I am Shivam Mishra. I come from Ayodhya, UttarPradesh. Currently, I’m working as an engineer. I don’t have dreams or destinations, I believe in enjoying my journey equally.
2 What inspired you to get associated with this Project ?
Ans: Education is the area where a lot of work needs to be done. When I read regarding this project I thought I ought to put out my views on this issue.
3. Why do you feel that there is a need of change in the Education system of India ?
Ans: There are various following reasons why I think there is a sudden need of change in our education system.
1. There is a vast difference between theory and practical.
2. We don’t use most of things we study.
3. In these times when world is changing rapidly, we got to catch up with rest of the world and new emerging technologies.
4.What practical difficulties as a student you are facing or have faced in present education system ? Ans:- I didn’t have good teachers. I spent 9 precious years of my life without a good teacher. When I met them, they truly changed me forever. Besides this I am not a good learner and a lazy one so when I started trying to learn, semester was over. 4-5 months were not enough time for slow learners.
5 . What changes you want to see in Education System in the coming years ? ( It would be nice if you give practical ways to improve our system at any particular level e.g school level , college level etc) Ans:- 1. Reduction of syllabus burden:- There are many redundant things we study for example in mechanical engineering, Students study Manufacturing, Thermodynamics, Machine design etc. but at the end of the day, he ends up making career in only one of these streams. So classification of these streams would not only reduce the burden but student can also use that time working in industries and learning relevant things.
2. Selection of teachers:- A teacher can play vital role in making a child’s career. Teachers should be people who’re passionate about teaching. If somebody is teaching only to survive and to earn his daily lives, he is wasting both his and his student’s time.
Another thing is students between the age of 5-10 years ought to be taught compassionately and without expecting too much. People learn at different rates. Not knowing something, having difficulty in learning something, making mistakes, none of these are punishable.
3. Guidance:- Guidance in making career is also equally very important. Most of the students copy others without knowing their own interest and start fumbling. People lose their interest in their jobs as it’s completely different from what they thought once. Time is precious and life is too short, one can’t spend all it experimenting. That’s why they need guidance. Everybody is an individual entity so they wouldn’t be fit in same frame as a fish can’t climb on a tree. Students should also be encouraged to pursue entrepreneurship.
4. Inclusion of Technology: Inclusion of technologycan make learning way easier. For example using Apps such as BYJU’s learning App, difficult structures can be understood easily by using Model & Prototypes etc.
5. Personality Development:- Personality development, Human Interaction, Negotiations, Your appearance etc are very important once you enter into working class.
6. Projects:- Projects and experiments help in learning and one can correlate with theory. Fantasy of projects and experiments can ignite intelligent minds and spark the talent. Though it should be assigned naturally not forcibly.
6. Given a chance what is the first thing you will change and why ?
Ans:- There are many important things that need to be done and deciding one thing is really difficult. But if somehow I could push this perception that one should study to know the world better and things he is interested in not to score marks in exams. That would be a fair thing to do. For example a student goes through a lot anxiety during exams and after that he goes on vacation and forgets most of the thing he studied. When I was in 10th standard, I used to wake up at 1a.m. to study not because I wanted to score marks but I was afraid of failing. I did well.
When the time before exams is same as the time after exams, It should be spent with equal importance.
Journey Says : Thank you Shivam Mishra for enlightening us on this topic and being a part of this project. Your voice can motivate others to come forward and share their experiences too. Education should teach us how to live life and earn livelihood and prepare us for real life. Education should come out from books to life.

Hello to all lovely readers of my blog ! Welcome to the first interaction conducted under the Project – Educational Reforms in India, initiated with the help of blogchatter – A biggest platform for all the Indian bloggers .
I asked few people to express their views regarding the educational reforms as a parent , teacher or as a student on Twitter. Here is what they have suggested.
My first interaction was with Dr Amrita, who is a parent to a six year old girl and a teacher in a Medical College. I asked few question which were popping in my mind since the thought of this project came into my mind.
Here is my interaction with her.
Journeysays – What changes you want to see in present educational system ?
Dr Amrita : I want quality, affordable education with strong practical classes. Practicals like summer internships at various levels to have an idea about how different industries work. The education system is okay but the expectation needs to be balanced. While parents know the practical nature of life ,children and youngsters have no clue . Employability of education makes it useful. Until this gap in knowledge is understood by parents ,children and educators ,we have to face the problem. Education which doesn’t help us to make us financially free does not solve the purpose .
I would also like put more focus onhealthy living and Financial health.
Entrepreneurship mindsets should be incorporated in various ways from middle school onwards. Children are smart but a little guidance helps.
Journeysays– Your expectations from teachers ?
Dr Amrita : Teachers need to be upto date and incorporate the practical aspect of their subject with real examples, for better understanding .
Journeysays – Can you suggest any one or 2 practical ways to achieve your suggestions ?
Dr Amrita : Mindset shift is important. Education must be cherished . But with India’s impossible population number , making quality and affordable education accessible is a challenge. First step population control Second step better early life nutrition Third step mindset shift for both parents and children. For rest of my ideas you can read my blog post on this https://t.co/mAMNgA9m0y
I also interacted with Sakshi who is a teacher and student too. She teaches class 6th , 7th and 8th
According to her : Education should not become some kind of spoon feeding system . Like happening in schools these days . Practical knowledge need to be given, not just grades should be imparted . The class should be full of fun and interesting. There should be enough time for self studying hours for children. Parents should not providing smart phones to school students as it act as hindrance to their studies.
She says– Our education system is still based on age old belief that what is taught in books is the only way to excel in your exams and life which is quite the opposite to what life actually. Emphasis should be given on teaching practical theory . When we enter the society the first thought in our mind normally is what use was of those written exams where we just vomited out our by hearted words.
According to Jai who is a published writer, blogger and father :
I think training should be provided in chores that are neither included in extra-curricular nor academic activities. Small things for teenage children like carpentry, pottery, cooking for both males and females etc would impart life skills.
Dedicating time for aptitude development and extracurricular activities would be very beneficial where mugging up won’t be needed. Approach needs to change from only marks to performance and understanding.
These are the initial thoughts we have come up. Still lots of brain storming on this topic is left.
