Grow Your Blog with Super Blogger Challenge

It is rightly said that participating in contest and challenges is always beneficial to our blog as we get more exposure to the world of blogging. We get a  chance to explore more bloggers and see the work done by them. I must congratulate you guys for arranging such an interactive session in Super Blogger Challenge 2018.  It was a new learning experience for me.

I have never witnessed such kind of  blogging contest where the participants get such a knowledge. It was more of online Course on blogging, that too, without paying a single penny. Rather we are looking to win some  prize money.

This week I am going share what all I have gained and the blogging tips that I have learnt from Dr Bushra and Dr Amrita.I have grown as a blogger under their guidance. A big thank you for showing us a path which will definitely bear the fruit in the future.

These are really the great tips for you dear bloggers and will definitely pay you in long run.

1. Self hosted site –

The first and most important thing is to have a domain name and a self hosted site. It removes extension like wordpress.com. Brands prefer to work with proper domains.

2. Length of the post :

Try to write a lengthy post to appear in search engines. Generally a post with more than 1000 words perform better. A post between 500 to 1000 words is also not bad.

3. Consistency :

You have to show you presence online, hence , publish your post regularly on your blog and on the various social medias. Try to write atleast once in a week. If you are writing daily or twice in a week , it is really good for the growth of your blog.

4. Catchy headlines:

Try to write interesting and catchy headlines. Such headlines will attract readers. People have a tedency to read the posts those headlines start with how to do….. or ways to…… etc. There are  some tools are available online which can help you to create different headlines.

5. Tags and categories:

Choose your tags and categories wisely for each post. Tags should be according to the keyword. Try to have maximun two categories for each post, otherwise you will have a problem of duplicate content on your site.

6. H1, H2 tags:

According to the SEO practice , there should be only one H1 tag in a post and only one H2 tag. Try to include your keyword in the H1 tag. You can have more than two H3 tags.

7. SEO plug- in

SEo plug -in is must for any site eg Yoast Seo plug -in is great choice as helps you to find keywords and make you post SEO friendly. This in turns improve your chances to appear in seach engines and bring more traffic to your site.

8. Content :

Content is the heart and soul of any website. Write unique content and write the content which your readers love to read. Follow the  FOUR CONTEN PILLAR i.e. a blog niche, trending topics, affiliate links and contests.

9. Social Media :

Social media plays an important role in the growth of a blog. You get lot of traffic from Twitter, Facebook,Pinterest , Google+ etc. Make the accounts and post regularly on each platform. You can take help of Social media managing tools like Hootsuite, Buffer etc.

10. Linky Parties :

You can have linky parties where the other bloggers can leave the links to their blogposts. You can even have such parties on Twitter like friday follow train etc. You can start with your own Giveaways and contest like I have one on my blog where the bloggers can leave their links and get chance to get featured on my blog. Be creative in your way.

 

Remembere, there is no short cut to success. You have to work hard at  each and every step.
